The road Emergency Telephone System is a special communication network designed to provide the drivers a fast and effective direct call system. An emergency control center and a group of roadside terminals, which are distributed all along the road, compose this emergency telephone system. This system developed by Indra, is officially approved by the "Dirección General de Tráfico" (the Spanish traffic authority) not only in
the field of the emergency telephones itself but also in the Control Center system, which increases the value of the whole system. The E.T. network control software has been developed based in the rules, normative and functions defined by this organization.
