This effort was to develop, manufacture/replace, install, integrate, validate, test, and deliver the hardware, software, and documentation for the Trainer Modernization program for the MH-53E Operational Flight Trainer (OFT), Device 2F141, located aboard NAS Norfolk, Virginia. Device 2F141 is the only MH-53E OFT operated by the U.S. Navy. This upgrade addressed operational validation discrepancies to include replacement of the hydraulic control loader with a digital control loader, an Instructor/Operator Station (IOS) upgrade, image generator replacement, new visual databases, visual display system replacement (including a chin window solution), computer rehost, and incorporation of the Tactical Environment Network (TEN).
