The AV-8B Block Upgrade program represents an extensive technology refresh effort for all five AV-8B flight training devices used within the United States by the US Marine Corps. Existing Devices 2F150A, 2F150B, and 2F150C, located at MCAS Cherry Point, NC, and MCAS Yuma, AZ, will be upgraded to utilize current technology. Devices 2F149 and 2F150 will receive even more extensive upgrades, and will be redesignated as Devices 2F150D and 2F150E. As a part of the upgrade, Indra will be able to establish commonality between the five devices, reducing total ownership costs, increasing usability, and easing future upgrade efforts.
