Eurocopter EC135 Flight Trainers
Indra has developed and delivered full-motion flight trainers for Eurocopter's EC135 helicopter. The EC135 is a twin-engine light aircraft capable of executing multiple missions, such as emergency medical services, police (surveillance, traffic control), operations on maritime platforms, corporate/VIP transportation, and military training. Indra's simulator provides an accurate representation of the behavior of the EC135 aircraft. The trainer is built upon Indra's evolutiOn product line, including the INVIS2 image generator and a six-degree-of-freedom motion platform. The design has already proven itself in multiple pilot training sessions, providing scenarios for exercises including landings and takeoffs, emergency procedures, and Night Vision Goggles (NVG) operations.
Commercial simulator solutions provided by Indra reduce overall training cost and reduce use of and reliance upon the real aircraft for training exercises. By making emergency and abnormal situations available on a regular basis, these trainers improve the quality of training for pilots, while keeping them safe, both now and in the future.
