Indra's evolutiOn represents affordable high-end helicopter simulation. Leveraging over 25 years of experience in aircraft simulation, Indra introduces a new concept in helicopter trainers that focuses on affordability, modularity, and upgradeability.
evolutiOn comprises a system of interoperable components that can be composed into state-of-the-art helicopter simulations that meet the appropriate level of fidelity to meet customer requirements. From procedures trainers through full flight simulators, evolutiOn is able to fulfill any need, while providing clear upgrade paths should requirements change in the future.
Technologies embodied by evolutiOn include high-fidelity trainee stations, Indra's INVIS2 image generators, the standard INIS instructor station, Exana for debriefing, and Indra's own blade-element modeling where needed. Motion, vibration, and control loading systems are available and incorporated according to the customer's desired level of fidelity. FLIR simulation and NVG compatibility are also offered as options. Finally, a complete Qualification Test Guide (QTG) and support for civil authority qualification of each commercial evolutiOn trainer is provided, ensuring that each customer is able to meet the needs of prospective trainees.
Indra's extensive rotary wing simulation experience enables us to add support for new aircraft platforms in minimum time. Platforms already supported by evolutiOn include:
